The East Hillsborough Historical Society, Inc., is a 501C3, formed in 1974 with a primary focus to encourage and participate in historic preservation and the cultural heritage of our community; to collect, preserve, and house historic documents, objects, and artifacts, especially those about eastern Hillsborough County and the State of Florida and to collect, preserve, and house genealogical books and materials to aid genealogical and historical research. The EHHS is located in the historic 1914 Plant City High School, a National Register of Historic Places Site honored with an individual listing and as a cornerstone of the local historic district, the North Plant City Residential District, which is also listed on the National Register. Our dedication to historic preservation includes the 1914, a historic gem of our community.
