DESCRIPTION:Public Information Meeting\n\nHelp Update Hillsborough County's\n\nAll-Hazards and Floodplain Management Plan\n\n\n\nHillsborough County residents and business owners\, including those in Tampa\, Temple Terrace\n\nand Plant City\, are invited to participate in developing the community's risk mitigation strategy\n\nby providing feedback on the update to Hillsborough County's Local Mitigation Strategy and Floodplain Management Plan (LMS).\n\n\n\nThe LMS is the all-hazards guide developed to provide the community information about the\n\nrisks such as floods\, wildfires\, tornados\, thunderstorms\, and hurricanes that they could\n\npossibly face while living in Hillsborough County. It also includes the mitigation techniques that\n\nresidents\, businesses\, and local government may implement to help lessen the risks.\n\n\n\nThe meetings will have an open house format\, and Public Works Hazard Mitigation staff will:\n\n Answer questions and receive suggestions from residents\n\n Provide information about what local government is doing to mitigate hazards\n\n Present the process of how the LMS is being updated\n\n Explain how residents can take action to protect their families\, businesses\, and property\n\n\n\nFor more information about the County?s Hazard Mitigation Programs\, visit HCFLGov.net.\n\nQuestions about the meeting may be directed to Citizen Engagement at (813) 272-5275.
