SUMMARY:34th Annual Veterans' Day Event
DESCRIPTION:The Hopewell Team invites Veterans and the community to our 34th Annual Veteran's Appreciation Event on Saturday\, November 6\, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Veteran's Monument Park\, Courier Field at North Wheeler\, in Plant City. Refreshments\, including military branch cookies\, will be served.\n\nThe focus of the event is to educate the youth about the cost of freedom\, and the significance of those who step-up to pay that cost. Leading up to the event\, Hopewell encourages students\, independently or through their local school\, to participate in an essay contest. The students enter the contest by writing an essay on What Veteran's Day Means to Me\, and Hopewell selects 2 winners from each age group to read their winning essays during the event. \n\nHopewell is partnering with the City of Plant City\, Five 5 Group\, Kenzie Wheeler\, Springhead Elementary Chorus\, Durant High School Colors Team\, and others to make this program special. Please join us in honoring our Veterans\, and supporting the efforts of our local parents and schools in educating our students on the cost of freedom.\n\nFounded in 1971\, Hopewell Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens is a family owned and operated business located in Hopewell (Hillsborough County\, Florida)\, serving Plant City\, Lithia\, Valrico\, Lakeland\, Brandon and surrounding communities.
